Improved Healing With Magnet Therapy An Attractive Method

Using special magnets to encourage increased stimulation of blood to an injured part of the body can help the healing process.
Magnetic therapist Anderson Moffat of the Nowra-based Therapeutic Magnets company, said by using acupressure points, the magnets improved the flow of blood and therefore oxygen around the body.
``And by increasing oxygen, the healing process is hastened," he said.
``For people with high levels of iron in their blood, the treatment can work within a matter of hours but it may take much longer for those with lower levels," he said.
Mr Moffat who has run a pain relief clinic for the last 10 years as well as a mail order division admitted magnetic therapy was not for everyone.
``If someone comes to me with a condition I can't do anything about, I will say so straight away - I don't believe in misleading people - but this type of therapy is a damn good switch to get the body repairing itself," he said.
Mr Moffat said tests in Japanese hospitals using magnetic fields had shown remarkable healing and pain relieving powers across a number of health problems.
Among them were fibrosis, dizziness, fatigue, insomnia, shoulder pain, constipation and arthritis.
